My Outer story:

 

 

 

Anne earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1981 and has been working with clients ever since. She began as a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at UC Berkeley, then served as a Counseling Psychologist at the university’s Counseling Center. After retiring from UC Berkeley, Anne expanded her work through a wide range of healing and personal development trainings. These include certification in Barbara Brennan Healing Science, Reiki Master training, MAP ("Make Anything Possible"), Psych-K, neurological repatterning, and past life regression therapy with Dr. Brian Weiss. She is also the author of Listen to the Cries of Your Heart, published in 2016.You were shaped by childhood—but you don’t have to stay there.
 

 


Now, the Inner Story:

 

Early Wounds, Lasting Patterns


Most people don’t realize this:


The way you think, feel, and respond to life today was shaped in childhood.
 
Even in loving families, there are moments when your needs weren’t seen, understood, or met. You may have cried for comfort—but no one came.
 
Others grew up in homes filled with anger or stress. Survival meant staying small, silent, invisible.

These painful moments created inner children or trauma parts—younger versions of you that still live inside, carrying beliefs like:

  * I’m unlovable.
  * I’m all alone.
 
To feel safe, these parts developed strategies:

  * People-pleasing
  * Overachieving
  * Perfectionism
  * Emotional shut-down
 
These patterns helped you survive.
But they may now be keeping you stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
 
I Understand. I Lived It.

For much of my life, I looked accomplished on the outside.
But inside, I lived with a broken heart.
 
I carried the drumbeat of lost and confused. I didn’t even know it—until Intuition broke through the intellect that had ruled my life.
 
A clear message came:

“Listen to the Cries of Your Heart.”
 
That phrase changed everything.
It led me inward. Helped me meet my inner child.
It became a chapter… a book… and a path I never expected.
 
Then, five years later, Intuition guided me again—to MAP.
